Blasts outside, scare inside!Peace guys, peace, I need absolute silence to concentrate, concentrate to write my heart out. My heart has come out for the first time for my nation, simply because this time my country’s heart is on target.

Yuppie, I am done with my page dot on time and now I am all set to leave for home. But then how can you leave? Screamed my colleague, who was busy designing the main page of the newspaper, look scarier, after the bloody incidence that shook the nation, when the serial blasts took place in the heart of the country, Delhi.

Forget about some terrifying headline for the readers, first I need to call up my people and find out if they are all safe back in Delhi, said another colleague. Hey, now that reminds me that I too have few friends in Delhi who might be out today evening, trying to break away from their hectic work schedules.

I left my work to find out if my pals were fine and see what they did to me, they again reminded of my work. My friend told me to work hard and write well on this brutal incidence. He requested me to convey the message in simple, crystal, bold letters to every one, including our governing bodies as well as those who want to govern us that we want to live our lives peacefully.

After scrolling down few more numbers on my mobile phone, seeking for more information, I remembered there is a friend who might be on the spot right now, giving a right angle to his camera to cover the incident and perhaps trying to reveal out the horrifying picture to the people without any edit, and bringing more TRPS to his channel.

Didi are you there? Knock at my door, mates in my paying guest came looking out for me if I was there to provide them a true picture. What exactly happened and how? Do you know who could be behind these blasts? What is the police doing, are they able to crack the case? Why were steps not taken prior to the incident after all this was not the first of its kind? Hold on guys let me make few things clear here, I am not the one who should be answering all these questions, I am just like you all, my work is simply to edit the assigned news stories and make my page eye catching and different from other competitors and nothing else. I told them all “sorry”, but then I felt “helpless” inside.

I am helpless today, there is nothing that I can do, to save my countrymen. I don’t have the power to control the present situation, all I have with me is my pen which is perhaps not free to write and rather controlled by someone else.

Seeking to share this storm inside me with some one, I approached another close friend, who infact was too blunt in saying that a “sudden death is a relief these days from this horrible world which is every day busy plotting against the peaceful living of other fellow beings.”

I know of violence and the terrorist within ones own nation.. Your words have summed up my many thoughts.

Wow! I love your post. The last quote is very true and a lot of people will agree with it. It’s a shame that we as citizens of this country can do very little in such a situation. Our government is being challenged and yet nothing is done, it shows were we stand. We have the power to elect, but when all the wrong candidates stand for it, who can we vote?

I’m certain that Bombay is the next target; it’s predictable that a lot of people are going to lose their lives again and the government will be dumbstruck as usual. They will have nothing else to offer to people apart from their contemptible condolences! It’s sad that even the power of pen is controlled, but you know what’s worse than all these things. It’s not even the accidental deaths, but the fact that we willingly give in to everything around us!
