Information Technology is More Colloquial than Ever Before!Information Technology, a phenomenon which has changed the way things work today both professionally and personally is indeed a matter of concern to a greater number of people than ever before.

Information technology has mushroomed over the years to encompass several aspects of computing and technology, and IT is now, more colloquial than years ago, but the question mark lingers around its recession?

Jason Stamper in an article has brought out the comparison of what Nicholas Carr, editor of the Harvard Business Review, wrote in an article on “IT Doesn’t Matter” with today’s deep-rooted IT world.

With it’s increasing availability, there is no doubt that there has been a drastic downfall in IT cost, but considering this, should we start believing that IT being a commodity at present, holds no importance and does not matter to people any more?

The answer to this is certainly NO. Not only does IT matter to more number of companies today, but also consumers at home now care about the ease of use and speed of wireless networks, synchronization between portable devices and their PCs, and remote access to their corporate systems.

Fifteen years ago, the only IT in the home was a PC, and a number of embedded systems in washing machines and video recorders that consumers couldn’t care less about. So, the picture is now quite clear, especially for those who believe that the role of IT has deteriorated over the years, infact it is now an integral part of large number of societies around the world.
